Hi all Today I’ll be doing a Jennifer Lopez’s Oscars inspired tutorial. This is very subtle makeup, yet difficult to carry by most of the girls because it has got a spectacular thick cut crease (which isn’t hard to make) and can be beneficial to those girls who have got small eyes. So lets start the tutorial
Things needed :
- Eyeshadow Base
- Pearl finish- pale golden, Brown, white eyeshadow, and a highlighter
- Black kohl pencil
Step1 :- Prime lids & apply base eyeshadow
I started on by blending an eyeshadow base, starting from the inner corner of the eye right up to the brow bone. After that I customized an eyeshadow for the look using pale golden + rust brown eyeshadow , and applied all over the lid.
Step2:- Mark crease area & blend
Using a fluffy blending brush, I took a brown eyeshadow and went back and forth on the socket of the eye. To achieve such a look, I also took (rhyme 😛 ) my brush and marked crease into the inner corner of the eye too.
Step 3 :- Highlight inner corner & Brow bone Using a small flat brush, I highlighted the inner corner of the eye (which I left bare, if you noticed) using a highlighter eyeshadow (beige, you can use any you want), and for the brow bone I used a white pencil, and blended it with a white eyeshadow.
Step 4:- Line your eyes & Finish up with mascara Afterwards, I used a thin liner brush, and lined my eyes using a gel liner. Before it could dry, I smudged it with a charcoal black eyeshadow to achieve a soft smokey line, instead of a harsh line. Whatever was left on brush, I pulled it across to make a small wing outside. Then with a light hand I lined my waterline using a white eye pencil, and finished up with lots of mascara.
The main highlight of this look is the small white wing that brought a change. I used an angled brush and pulled a line over the black color wing.
As this is subtle yet dramatic look, it would be best paired with a contoured face and n*de lips (See swatches of 8 n*de lipsticks here)
