Colorbar Eyeshadow Review & EOTD- 05 Gorgeous Gold

By Lee (Entry #5)
Hola Beauties,

Im once more back with another Colorbar Eyeshadow. What can I do? Im addicted to them :D. This is my most favourite eyeshadow no highlighter no eyeshadow err…this is my most favourite eyeshadow which I use more like a highlighter 😛

Product Claims
The eyeshadow is a pigmented powder that gives the eyes a shine and pearl like effect. Ultra fine in texture,it is easy to blend while its moisturizing agent keeps your eyelids soft and smooth. The product is long lasting and fade resistant.
Price: Rs 300 for 3 gms
Best before 3 yrs of manufacturing
Packaging:It comes in a silver packaging with a transparent lid which makes it easy to locate a particular shade.. It has two compartments. The top compartment contains the actual product ie the eyeshadow & the lower compartment stores the curved sponge applicator & a small mirror which is quite useful for touchups.

The applicator provided is of good quality. I personally still use it for my eyemakeup because of the control an applicator provides and the Colorbar applicator is the best Ive ever used.

Texture:The texture of Gorgeous Gold is quite silky & smooth. It is also very easy to blend like all Colorbar Single Eyeshhadows.

Even though it is a powder E/S it gives a creamy finish which I absolutely love. It is highly pigmented & I have never faced any fallout with it.

The best part is its staying power. It easily lasts for atleast 6-7hrs without a primer without any fading! I have never worn eyeshadows more than 7 hrs but im sure this product can last quite a long time.

Gorgeous Gold is a very pretty golden shade with whitish silver shimmer which isnt ‘glittery’ or OTT at all.It looks more of yellow-ish gold in the pan but on swatching its a perfect gold which can be used for highlighting or as an E/S on your lids.Since its a bit frosty it doesnt look that good applied all over the lid but looks gorgeous if blended out with a darker colour like a bronze, blue or even black.

I love using this for highlighting my tear duct, browbone & even my cheeks!!! I usually apply Maybelline’s Dream Mousse Blush n top it with this E/S for functions and it makes my blush way longer!

Pros
1)Can be used as an eyeshadow as well as an highlighter
2)Soft & Smooth Texture
3)Highly Pigmented
4)Stays for 6-7 hrs without getting patchy that too without a primer
5)A nice shimmery sheen & doesn’t look ‘glittery’
6)No Fallout
7)The sponge applicator is of good quality
Cons
None!!
