Olay Total Effects 7-in-1 Anti-Ageing Cream+Serum Duo: Review

I’ve made it through a quarter of my life without any skincare products and now suddenly all I’m obsessed with is skincare products. When it comes to skincare, anti-ageing products are an important part of every woman’s regimen but there is always a debate on when to start using anti-ageing products but really, it depends on when you feel is the right time. So I took a baby step into the world of anti-ageing products and began experimenting with the Olay Total Effects 7-in-1 Anti-Ageing Cream+Serum duo (phew! a mouthful I must say!!)

The Olay Cream+Serum duo claims to fight 7 signs of ageing namely fine lines and wrinkles, uneven tone,  age spots, uneven texture, dryness, dullness and pores. It has a concentrated moisturizing formula with SPF 15. So the moisturizer combats dryness and the serum fights the 7 signs of ageing. In short, it promises visibly younger looking skin.

Price: 369 INR for 20g

Although anti-ageing products, that too with tall claims weren’t up my alley, this one changed my opinion. When I used it the first time, there was an instant visible brightness and my skin seemed hydrated.

In terms of consistency, it is neither too thick nor runny and blends into the skin easily. I have extremely dry skin so when I use this, I find that my skin feels soft and hydrated. The moisturizer is light on my skin. I would definitely recommend this to those of you with dry and combination skin. If you fall under the oily skin type category, this would only make you look oilier.

In terms of packaging, the cream and serum duo comes in a transparent plastic bottle with a pump dispenser. The beautiful golden ripples of the serum against the white cream looks gorgeous in the bottle.

I’ve only been using this for a few days now and I can see a visible effect, in a good way, on my skin. My skin looks brighter and the dark patches caused by tanning have lightened. Also my skin looks and feels soft and smooth. The cream and serum duo is definitely living upto its claims and I can definitely vouch for that.

The only thing I don’t like about the cream and serum duo is the strong scent that it comes with. I really need to take a deep breath before applying it. If you have used Olay products before and are familiar and okay with the scent, then it shouldn’t be a problem.

You can see the difference between the part where the cream has been blended and my actual dry skin without any product. The cream and serum duo is versatile enough to be used as a day and a night cream. I usually use it before my usual makeup routine and I love how bright and hydrated skin looks even after applying makeup.

Final Word: The Olay Total Effects 7 in 1 Cream+Serum Duo has completely changed my perspective on anti-ageing products and I would definitely repurchase it again. I would recommend this to those of you who especially have dry skin and uneven skin tone.

I will keep you guys updated on how this product works in the long term.
