Kohl or Kajal is supposed to have medicinal properties because of the wonderful ingredients it’s made of and it is believed that it would protect the eyes from harmful sunrays (SPF??) also in down south it is predominantly used on small kids to protect them from evil eyes!!
Since Kajal was part of my life, when Avon introduced this as part of their ExtraLasting series I had to get it 😀
Per Avon, this Kajal has an improved formula with smoother texture for easy application. Soft crème formula that lines and defines without pulling and tugging. Special oil absorbing formula absorbs excess oils for longer wear.
This is not the blackest Kajal in my stash, (I will do a swatch comparison post soon :D). The texture is definitely not creamy, which means one cannot expect a smooth application. Expect a tug-of-war
It flakes a bit on the eyes during smudging. So you need to clean up those “extra” bits after each smudging application, because chances are high for the tiny flaked bits to get in to your eyes!! The below picture shows the tiny bits of liner when smudged.
It did not burn or hurt my eyes, totally safe for lower lash waterline. The smudger is just ok types. The quality isn’t that great but does the job perfectly. This Kajal pencil sharpens well and there is less wastage of the product while sharpening.
Stays on for about 5 to 6 hours and then fades away gently. Removal is not a pain 🙂
The looks are classy! Black & Red packaging, comes with a transparent plastic lid for the Kajal. The smudger doesn’t have a lid so make sure you clean it well before using!!
The Avon Extralasting Kajal is priced at Rs. 229 for a 1.4g quantity.
Overall an OKAY buy, get it if you collect Kajals 🙂 🙂
