Let me start off with the shade, it is a stunning, gorgeous bold red shade. I havenât come across such a bold red in a while. Even if slightly dabbed on your lips, you are guaranteed to attract stares. I generally use bold lipsticks as a blush in an attempt to finish them off but this one is too bold for me to do even that đ
The packaging is a let down, not because it doesnât look shiny or glossy (for $1, I donât expect it to look that way) but because it doesn’t work well. The mechanism is not smooth. It gets stuck atleast three times before I can get the bullet fully up.
The texture is awesome, to say the least! Glides on smoothly, no tugging on lips, even on dry lips like mine. It dries to a semi-matte finish and is insanely pigmented. I have never, I mean NEVER seen such a highly pigmented lipstick! I tried toning down the shade using every trick in the book but it is very difficult to tone down this shade, mainly due to itâs high pigmentation.
This lipstick stains very badly. I had a hard time removing it from my lips and hand. So if you are planning to wear this shade, make sure you have a proper makeup remover at home. It didn’t budge when I used my home-made makeup remover â extra virgin olive oil + rose water.
It stuns me with itâs staying power â the shade stays on for 6 hours easily and the stain stays for a couple more hours. A definite downside of the product is that it dries out my lips badly. The first couple of hours are fine, but after that Iâm left with lips which look so dry and full of lines. So even though it stays for a long time, the looking-good aspect of it fails.

Final Word:
I’m absolutely bowled over by this one, definitely grab it if you get the chance đ The shade is stunning and the texture is so good that it is hard to believe that I’m wearing a $1 lipstick.
