My views on the e.l.f lipstick Sociable:
This particular shade was gifted to me by my friend Revathy as a birthday present last month. I was very happy to receive a bright shade from e.l.f , a brand whose lip products I was yet to try.
Shade: Sociable is a bright pink shade with visible shimmers. The shimmer is not at all gritty and adds a shine to the otherwise matte shade. The shade would easily add a deep flush of peppy color on your lips and would suit fair to medium skin tones very well. Dark skin tones should stay away from this shade because of the shimmers, as it may look too bright on you.
Texture: It is not the creamiest lipstick I have tried so far but yes, the lipstick applies well and gives a good pigmentation with a single swipe itself. The shade is buildable and doesn’t feel heavy on the lips. The shade feathers and bleeds when applied.
Staying power: As it is a dark, pigmented shade, it stays on for 4-5 hours on me. Although it transfers very easily, I do not find a need for a touch-up after a full meal. It fades quite evenly but the shimmer is left behind. A good cleanser or makeup remover is necessary to take it off completely.
Packaging: The grey outer cover with the transparent part in the middle helps in easy identification of the color. Though few people complain about the breakage of the bullet, mine looks sturdy and is still intact. For a 1$ lipstick, you could not have asked for a more attractive packaging.

Final Word: Though I like the color and the shimmer adds a nice shiny effect on the lips, I am still not bowled over by the texture of the lipstick. The price makes them quite tempting and trying 1-2 shades from the range is a good option.
