I am going to talk about 10 lipsticks that I chose to be my favorites from my stash here in Divassence today. Not that, others aren’t my favorites – but I find myself to be reaching to these more often than the rest! 😀 Before I proceed, I need to thank Deepika (Deeps to me & many) for letting me write here in her hearty space! <3
So, excited to take a look at my lippie picks? No? (Get excited & come back, here! :P)
I am not a person who really goes by wearing deep shades for fall & bright shades for spring/summer… I go with my personal mood when it comes to makeup… and mostly like bright, cheerful shades that would suit my wheatish complexion! 😀
Here you go with the shade details –
MAC LIPSTICK – CHILI (INR 1190)
This is a lovely, orangey red from MAC’s Matte range of permanent lipsticks. This also happens to be my first MAC lipstick. A lesser known sister among MAC’s other cult favorite reds – this is one beautiful shade that would suit all Indian skin tones.
MAC LIPSTICK – LOVE GODDESS (LE)
This is a gorgeous pinkish red from MAC’s Marilyn Monroe Collection. All shades in this collection are super hits! Being a limited edition, this one came in a glossy black packaging with MM’s photo & autograph printed on the lipstick case. I am a sucker for pretty & classy packaging – so had to pick this! This shade can instantly brighten up the face, never looks over done & would again complement all skin tones.
Trivia: In case you missed Love Goddess & want one, Prepare for Pleasure from MAC’s latest Divine Night collection is pretty close.

BOURJOIS ROUGE EDITION LIPSTICK – BRUN BOHEME (SHADE #05) (INR 955)
I have really taken a liking to Bourjois as a brand these days. This is one off beat shade that has a little bit of all colors in it – pink, red, coral, everything! 🙂 It’s creamy & moisturizing & I totally love this shade… I may sound repeating this.. but this is one shade that you can buy eyes closed.. which would suit every single skin tone out there! 🙂
L’OREAL CARESSE SHINE LIP STAIN – JULIETTE (INR 499)
I had picked this from eBay last year, before they got launched in India. It is known as ‘Coral Tattoo’ abroad. A gorgeous orange with red undertones, this is a head turner. The formula, staying power & pricing is already a hit with many beauties! In spite of being not much into lip glosses, I really like this.

DEBORAH IL ROSSETTO LIPSTICK – SHADE #08 (INR 395)
A random purchase that turned out to be so loved off late. My first Deborah lipstick – a pretty pink with little brown in it. Ideal for casual wear and even to office. Just adds the right amount of color to your lips & great value for money being non-drying on the lips.
ORIFLAME GIORDANI LIPSTICK – DUSKY NUDE (INR 598)
Honestly, I picked this only for the royal packaging. Earlier Oriflame lipstick purchases of mine didn’t fare well. But this nude has the right amount of peach & pink in it, that works decently well on my pigmented lips too – I had to fall in love with this! With all the clinic visits happening last year during my pregnancy, I reached to this more often! 🙂

ACCESSORIZE LIP GLOSS MINI – FEVER
Another purchase for the packaging! A fellow blogger had all good things to say about this & I jumped to add this to my cart. Its too MINI to hold in the hands – but a great pinkish coral for everyday wear! Being decently pigmented, it might not show up that great on dusky beauties.
RIMMEL APOCALIPS /SHOW OFF LIP LACQUER – APOCALIPTIC (INR 495)
I love fuchsias! If I had to choose one lipstick to wear all through my life, it has to be FUUUCCHHSIIIAAA! 😀 This is a very bright fuchsia, a little neonish with blue undertones – that can add oodles of oomph to your look in a jiffy! This would win any Fuchsia war for me – a shade only for the bold hearted! 🙂

RIMMEL APOCALIPS/SHOW OFF LIP LACQUER – AURORA (INR 495)
A lovely coral red this one is for those who love to sport red but are afraid to do so! It just brightens up my face like crazy & goes well with almost any color & outfit of mine! Creamy, crazily pigmented, non-drying, semi-matte finish, long lasting – Ask for it.. Get it with Rimmel Apocalips! 🙂
COLORBAR TRUE GLOSS – NECTAR ORANGE (INR 495)
I wanted to try oranges but no shade satisfied me like this one did! Though called a gloss, it’s like liquid lipstick with some amazing pigmentation. Stays long too, though the glossiness fades with meals or drinks. If you too wanna get orange on your lips & worried which one to pick – go for this & you won’t regret.
