Entry 15: Meg
Lipstick: MAC Rebel
Why I love it:
One word: magical
Definitely one of the best purchases I’ve made on makeup. This lipstick looks beautiful on my pale skin (NC 20). The intensity doesn’t matter,it will look amazing either way.
The lipstick doesn’t wash me out (as long as you take care of the rest of your face, of course.)
I will definitely repurchase it when I finish it, as it is my go to red (even though it’s not red).
Depending on the light, it looks more purple, or more pink here, but it’s gorgeous either way. It’s pretty comfortable, even on my poor dry lips, and it smells vanilla-y and sweet.
After all, I’ve spent more than a year thinking about this colour, and now I finally have it. I think there’s a lesson in this for me, somewhere. Instead of balking at one big pricetag and ending up buying half a dozen of cheap lipsticks, none of which are really the right colour, I should’ve just bought the one I really wanted. Gotta love a rebel wearing rebel. 😉
“That lipstick shade makes you look like you eat babies for breakfast.”- says my sister
Pros:
- Longwearing
- Fashion shade, perfect for fall
- Wore very comfortably
- Did not feather
Cons:
- MAC is not cruelty free
- Does transfer a bit (straws, coffee cups, my dogs’ face when I kiss him when I arrive home =P)
P.S.: Make sure to moisturize and exfoliate your lips before using.
Ed’s Note: I don’t know how long this has been on my wishlist for but right now it is on top of the list!! And the shade looks gorgeous on you!! I totally disagree with your sister!! 😛
