MAC describes Hug Me as a fleshy pink color. Well, on me it is a perfect n*de. It does have a very very slight pink undertone to it which in a good way, adds warmth to the color. It may look more pink on skintones below NC 37 and peachy for girls in the NC 40 and above range. It is versatile for a day wear and looks equally good at night with a smokey eye look.
A Lustre finish, MAC Hug Me provides a much needed shine to the color when applied. I prefer a shine to my n*de lipsticks since a matte n*de might just make the whole look.. let’s say.. blahh… you know what I mean.. đ
No doubt, it glides on my dry, cracked, chapped lips like a dream but the staying power isn’t something I would go gaga about. It lasts on me for hardly 3-4 hours and after some “sip, slurp and burp” đ it disappears.

You can see how sheer the lipstick is. So for those of you with pigmented lips you might need several swipes to get  the color on your lips.

Just keep in mind that it isn’t one of those shades that make your teeth appear white so its best you make sure it looks white before stepping out! đ
Final Word: MAC Hug Me is my go-to lipstick. It is a lipstick I would reach out for, when in doubt. Other than the staying power I absolutely don’t have an issue with this one!
