Their newest product in India. Maybelline Blush Studio Cheeky Glow Blush in Fresh Coral.
Available across all beauty centers for Rs. 225 (I heard its increased to 250/- now đ ). You get 7g of product for this amount. That is huge quantity for a blush. And quite worth the price.
I got my blush housed in a Neon pink pouch and a blush applicator was given free. Maybelline is the only brand I know of, in India, who give the necessary brushes with their product. Highly commendable !!!!
Now Cheeky glow blushes were introduced saying these will suit Indian Olive skin tones well. However all their 3 blushes (Peachy Sweetie, Creamy Cinnamon and Fresh Coral ) are very light in color.
To describe the color of Fresh Coral is quite a challenge. Its a pink based blush with a hint of coral. You can see the coral tint only under certain lights. Texture wise, what Maybelline claims is exactly what they have delivered. Its soft, smooth and creamy to touch and easy to blend. <3 <3
It is light in pigmentation in swatches, but, the color imparted on your cheeks when blended is quite strong and hence its very easy to go over board. Take it slow and go easy on this blush !!!
This color will suit girls with medium to fair skin tones. Dusky beauties don’t buy this without trying it on. Biggest drawback with this blush is probably the staying power. On dry skin this stays for a good 4 hours, but on oily skin this will fade within 2 hours or so. Sad but then…
With all that said, here are the swatches. I have swatches it on both light and dark surfaces so you can be a better judge.
Would I absolutely recommend it ?? If you are fair to medium, then this is a must have. For dusky skinned ladies, please wait for the next collection with the hope that we have wide range of colors to choose from.
