The balm stain as such is pretty sheer but can be built upon to give a coverage that is neither sheer nor opaque. So these make for great day as well as night wear. For those of you who have the red lipstick phobia, you can start out with this one! Foolproof.
When it is applied on the lips, it glides on like a lip balm but after a while it kind of dries down to a stain which was amazing. If you have extremely dry lips, don’t get fooled by the balm part of it, it is advisable to prep your lips like you would do before applying a matte lipstick. And did I mention the amazingly strong minty fragrance that comes with this balm stain? Love it!!

It looked red initially but it seemed orangish as a lip stain.
