I’m back with a much-loved series – The Jhumka Diaries. And there’s something more.
Presenting ‘Shop my stash – Jewellery edition’. I have no idea if someone else has done ‘shop my stash’ posts for jewellery but if not, then hurrah!
The truth is I’m kind of overwhelmed by my own jewellery collection. There’s just way too much and I continue to keep accumulating. Hence this idea.
What is ‘shop my stash’?
When you have too much of something and you lose track of what you have, then it’s a problem. ‘Shop my stash’ is a concept where you revisit your collection and pick a few products/clothes/jewellery you will use for a certain period of time, say a month. This way, you use what you have in rotation and see if you like it as much as you did when you bought it. A lot of bloggers use this method with makeup products. Even I do. And it works for me, which is why I decided to implement it for my jewellery collection as well.
So here’s what I’ve picked.
Wooden bangles
I love wooden bangles. I think they are the perfect accessories to perk up a boring outfit. Painted or carved, each wooden bangle has a story to tell. Whenever my outfit is monotone, I add colour to it with wooden bangles.
The three wooden bangles shown in the picture above are more than ten years old. I thought it would be interesting to see if I like it now as much as I did then. Let’s see how it goes.
I have worn this brass bangle from Fab India probably once.
I bought this silver bangle a few months ago and again, I’ve probably worn it once. Enough said.
Earrings
So, it was not an easy task to pick earrings since I’m used to wearing a select few. But here’s what I decided to use this month.
The Durga earrings are from Girl Thinks. I bought them in 2014.
The Durga ones shown below are actually a combination of two earrings. I removed the Durga studs from a pair of jhumkas and attached the red beads to it. I made it and completely forgot about it.
Necklaces
Truth is I haven’t worn any of these three even once. So it was high time I gave these a try.
