Hello!
Who is in the mood for a vacation?
I’m off on a vacation with my mom and I couldn’t be more excited to spend time exploring another country with her. But before that, I quickly wanted to drop in here and share some of my current favourites. What better way to do this than start off with food? Royal Sandwich shop in Alwarpet, Chennai has the most amazing range of sandwiches. My favourite among the sweet ones has to be the Dark Chocolate Cheese sandwich. Oh my god! You know what they say about the best of both worlds coming together? This is exactly that and more. I guess the picture speaks a thousand words and describes the sandwich way better than I do!
There is a mall popping up in Chennai every other day and the newest addition to the malls in this city is Palladium. Known as the luxury mall, Palladium houses different high-end brands and one such brand is Springfield. Springfield, which is a Spanish brand is a new entrant to Chennai. I got an opportunity to visit the store and try on a few outfits.
The store has recently launched their SS’18 collection. The collection is a mix of floral prints, stripes, light denim, millennial pinks and blues and other pleasant colours. I particularly loved the floral collection, and the cold-shoulder millennial pink top shown here. The fabrics are light, flowy and very apt for summers. The price range starts from 1500 INR.
Another thing I’m loving at the moment is the idea of customisation. There’s a beautiful thought behind giving personalised gifts. I love adding my own personal touches to my home and decor as well.
Speaking of personalisation, Canvas Champ is a website that helps you print your photos on canvas, calendars, wall displays and other objects. They recently introduced the concept of photo pillows where you could customise cushions of various sizes with your photos. I chose a photo of a Buddha, which I clicked and edited it to incorporate shades of blue, teal and green. You can view how the cushion will look once you upload the picture on the site.
The photo pillows are priced between 399 INR – 1199 INR depending on the size. The price includes the cushion as well. The quality of the zipper, cushion and the cover are very good for the price. The brand sent me a 12*12 cushion, which is priced at 399 INR. The only thing that bothered me was the white lines on the sides. When I asked the brand owner why the white lines (see picture below) were present, he said it was part of the zipper. When I viewed the final image of the cushion before placing the order, the white lines were not present. So seeing the white lines when the cushion has a different colour theme is kind of disappointing. I wish they had black zippers as well and use either white or black according to the colour scheme of the cushion.
Last but not the least, I’ve been revisiting my childhood every day, thanks to a spirograph set I bought recently. Drawing roulette curves was my obsession and still is. You’re going to see much more of the designs I create on my Instagram stories Do give me your thoughts on what colour combinations I should go for.
