Hola friends!
Lakme has recently added three new shades to their budget-friendly eyeconic range.
For those who aren’t familiar with the eyeconic range, Lakme’s inexpensive kajals in various colors come under the eyeconic range and three new shades Regal Green, Turquoise and Royal Blue called have been added to the existing range.
I was so excited (read going crazy!) when I saw the new colors that were to be added to this range. I mean c’mon, who wouldn’t be excited for metallic colors that could be used on the waterline? *raises both hands*
By the way, if you had seen my haul post, you would have read that I bought only Royal Blue and Turquoise and that I couldn’t find the third one anywhere but I finally found Regal Green! *mission accomplished*
Claims:
- Lasts for 10 hours (not mentioned if this claim is for the staying power on waterline though)
- No smudge
- Waterproof
Price: 275 INR for 0.35g
The colors look fantastic and true to its name in the twist-up pencil packaging.
Unfortunately I did have a few issues with it after I got over the initial visual treat (and the fact that I could use these colors on my waterline). The pencils are so creamy that they break… and break and break..
These three new eyeliners seem to be a little more expensive than the other shades in this range. The black one is 200 INR, The brown, grey, white, blue and green ones are 250 INR. The three new ones are 275 INR.
Secondly, Royal Blue was a complete disappointment. I just couldn’t see the color on my waterline! After several swipes and curses, the color finally showed up. The other two were a lot better though. So far, Regal Green is my favourite of the lot, Turquoise stands second (The Maybelline one is better and retails for much less for the same quantity!) and Royal Blue lags far behind.
