Hello!
How have you guys been? How was the weekend? Well, my weekend was fabulous. Met a fellow blogger and good friend Raaga, shopped, went for a family get-together and spent time with loved ones. Ever since this year began, my obssession towards jewellery has increased manifold and this post is proof for that. From splurging at Kalakshetra exhibition to purchasing jewellery that were on sale, I’ve gone overboard this time BUT I love each and every piece that I’ve bought and I had to share it!
I’ve made a collage of the pieces I’ve bought from each place so that it is easier to talk about them. if there is anything in specific that you would like to know about in detail, do let me know. đ
Kalakshetra Exhibition: If you live in Chennai, you must be familiar with the exhibition that happens every year at Kalakshetra. There are various stalls from differents parts of the country and you are sure to find something you love. Here’s what i picked up from the exhibition. The Ganesha pendant is my favourite!
Sundari Silks: Sundari Silks (which is in TNagar, Chennai) had a sale and all their jewellery had a discount rate of 35-50%. Those thin bracelets were 45 bucks on sale!! I have spoken about Sundari Silks here and if you love ethnic clothes, jewellery and Indianized home decor, this is the place to visit.
Sukhra Jewellery: One of my favourite places with respect to silver shopping, my mom bought me these pieces for my birthday. Thankfully silver rates were some 47 bucks the day we went so it was a win-win situation!! I’ve spoken about Sukhra Jewellery here. Last year my mom bought me silver jewellery from Sukhra as well and you can read all about that here.
Now coming to my purchases from online stores (yes, I’ve been shopping online too!), I picked this Ramleela inspired earrings from Gotta Go Gorgeous, an online store run by Dipti. I absolutely love this one! If you love wearing maang tikkas, you could probably buy a pair of these, break off the earring pin and wear it as one! Of course, you can gift the other one. đ (Idea courtesy Sneha, a friend at work đ )
Just Jhumka‘s facebook page was something I accidentally found online and I’ve been shopping ever since. They have a fabulous collection at pocket friendly rates. There are so many positive points with respect to this site that it deserves a separate post of its own. What do you think? Would you like to see a separate post on that? Let me know in the comments below. đ
Phew! If there is one thing that is going to discourage me from shopping , it is going to be the thought of writing looong haul posts!! đ You know what.. forget about writing long posts, there is another haul post coming up this week! đ
Which accessory did you like the best?
Adios!
