Diwali is here! Now, I do not shop exclusively for Diwali or any festival for that matter because I shop all year round! *looks at empty wallet and cries*
If you’ve been following me on Instagram (if you aren’t, please do so!), you would know by now that I love clothes from Westside. I bought three kurtas for my (post)-wedding trousseau. These would be ideal with dull gold color chudidar pants and dupatta. I would probably wear these for dinners to relatives’ houses and at my in-laws place.
Now coming to jewelry, in the name of wedding and post-wedding events, I have been shopping whenever and from wherever I can.
The neckpiece, earrings and bracelets are from Pondy Bazaar, TNagar. The bangles are from Fab India. How gorgeous would these look when worn with the kurtas from Westside? *happy dance*
I have a weakness for silver jewelry. I don’t think that comes as a surprise to any of you. Anyway, I have bought so many jewellery pieces in the last two months that I can remember a few that I had wanted to feature in this post but forgotten while taking photographs. Does that give me an excuse to show them off in another haul post? 😉
So, here’s the lowdown on the jewelry featured here.
The one with the lazulite (blue gemstones) and the silver Goddess Lakshmi pendant is from a boutique in Pondicherry. This is an Auroville boutique (I don’t remember the exact name of the boutique though!) opposite the Rocky beach in Pondicherry. They have some lovely jewelry, home decor items, books and bags. I also bought a kalamkari sling bag and a beautiful brass lock and key with intricate work on it.
The earrings on the left side of the Goddess Lakshmi necklace is from a small shop near my office.
The HUUUGEEE earrings right in the center is from BCOS – its Silver. They sell via their online store on Facebook. I had the opportunity to see and pick what I wanted from their display at an exhibition. These oxidized silver earrings cost INR 750.
The other pair of earrings was from another online store called Gayathrifindings. While the collection was good, it took a pretty long time to get what I wanted and I was sent a wrong pair and then the right pair of earrings. The entire process was a hassle for me.
Now for the over-sized ring… errr… I have been talking about my online store, Saarisha for awhile. Although I keep promising a new collection, thanks to office and wedding work, I haven’t had the time to plan anything with respect to this. This ring is a part of the new collection. I had two of these which I intended on selling. Now that I have taken one for my personal use, there is just one for sale. Price: 650 INR
The necklace on the right with Goddess Saraswati is an absolute favourite. I picture myself wearing a red cotton sari, black and white checkered blouse and this necklace all the time. I bought this from an exhibition that was held at Express Avenue Mall recently. The exhibition had various sellers selling apparel, jewellery and other accessories and home decor just in time for Diwali. I bought this necklace from Vasah.
